Passion – Depth - Sensuality These are only some of the attributes Lydia Maria Bader’s performances are characterized by the press. The German magazine Focus called her “The New Classical Superstar”. In 2009 she was invited to perform her first concert tour in China. Followed by a big media attention (Press, Radio, Television) she performed five recitals in the Provinces of Yunnan, Guangxi and Hunan. Titulated by the local media as the “German Piano Princess” she also held two masterclasses in Hengyang and Chenzhou. Lydia is frequently invited at festivals such as “Musique au coeur des Barronies” in France, the “Festwochen Gmunden” in Austria or the “German Culture Days” in Russia. Inspired by her interest in foreign languages and cultures, Lydia’s repertoire includes recital programs like “Sonatas and Folklore”, “Music of the North” or “With Debussy around the World”. In addition to her solo performances she enjoys playing chamber music, also in exceptional duos for example piano- guitar with Heike Matthiesen.
