Lupus Crux is a two person indie/acoustic band from Logan, UT. Matthew Allred and Claire Burnett both sing and play guitar in the group, Allred also plays the piano in some tracks. Allred was born in SLC, UT and has also lived in Texas and South Carolina. He has been writing songs on the guitar since he was fourteen, and has written over 500 pages of lyrics, music has been added to aprox. 300 of these. Starting in High School he fronted a rock band and also makes electronica music. Burnett was raised in Bountiful UT. She is studying Music at Utah State University in Logan, UT, with an emphasis on Vocal Performance. She has studied with vocal coach, CIndy Dewey, for two years, and has had opportunities to perform with the USU Opera Company, Choral department, and Viewmont High School's Choirs and Musical Theatre department. Artistically Lupus Crux values simplicity and the realistic expression of emotion. The group is very vocally oriented with an emphasis on lyrics, the music is generally uncomplicated and supports the ideas expressed in the lyrics.
