There are at least two bands that call themselves Lunatic Fringe. 1. A punk band from Bristol, U.K., originally active from 1980 to 1986, reformed 2013. Key releases included the 'Who's in Control?' E.P. and the 'Cringe With The Fringe' E.P. as well as the track 'British Man' on Riot City's 'Riotous Assembly' compilation. Line-up included Bear Hakenbush (vocals, see 1st photo), John Finch (guitar), Nick Horn (bass) and Age Blackmore (drums). Contemporaries of, and frequently played with, Disorder, Chaos U.K. and Amebix. Current line-up is Bear Hackenbush, John Finch, Age Blackmore and Simon Hobbs (bass guitar). 2. A punk band based in Britain. Their album Lunatic Fringe appears on Capitalist Records. 3. A good-time New Orleans-style dance and world music band based in Peterborough NH USA, recording on their own label Lunatic Fringe . The band consists of Philip Sherwood (Guitar), Tara Greenblatt- (Percussion), Barbara Leavy (Balafon, drum), Fred Simmons (Trombone) and Karl Wilson (Tuba). Their official site (http://folksoul.com/lunatic/index.html ) describes them further. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
