There are 3 bands with the name Lum. 1. LUM is the solo project of Liam Sanagan, singer-songwriter from southern Ontario who has long had a keen interest in electronic music and experimenting with production techniques. LUM is influenced heavily by this attempt to marry the production values of EDM and Hip Hop with a more traditional song-writing aesthetic usually attributed to Folk music. Liam is also part of the band First Rate People, as well as runs bedroomer.com - a community based tumblr promoting independent artists involved with and surrounding the band. 2. Creating an audio photograph that depicts raindrops mingling with tears of glory from a child, Lum is Nathan Blaustone and Nathan Chamberlain. In 2007, Lum placed as a finalist in a competition by Sigur Rós. As a finalist, "O Alegre Cantiga" is featured on the site ainr.com. Here, bold harmonies and dancing melodies meld together to create lavishing soundscapes. Lum is love. 3.An indelicate collection of drones, harmonics, clicks and feedback that confront reality in a decidedly disrespectful manner. An exploration into electronic and organic sound manipulation.
