Artist
Lulu and the Luvvers were a British beat band fronted by Scottish singer and actress Lulu. The original band line-up was Alex Bell (vocals), Ross Neilson (lead guitar), James Dewar (rhythm guitar), Tommy Tierney (bass guitar), David Mullin (drums) and Jimmy Smith (saxophone). Their best known singles are 'Shout' (1964) and 'Satisfied' (1965). The spelling of the band name is a particularly tricky one. Many, many versions of it have been printed on single sleeves, record labels and compilation CDs, including Lulu & Luvers, Lulu & The Lovers, Lulu & The Luvers, Lulu & The Luvvers, Lulu And The Lovers, Lulu With The Luvvers, yes, even Lulu Y Los Luvers for some Spanish versions of their material. However, Lulu and the Luvvers is the most commonly used, and therefore preferred version here on Last.fm.
