LUIGI MASCIARI, jazz, Italy http://soundcloud.com/toskyrecords/luigi-masciari-sextet-ft He graduated in jazz Performance and Composition from the Conservatory of Music of Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he has currently working as a teacher of jazz guitar. He has taken part in many clinics and master classes given , among others,by J. Hall, J. Di Iorio, Scott Henderson, G. Cables, M. Miller, B. Golson. He has already published a few records and, usually, takes part in many exhibitions also with different groups of artists.He currently collaborates with Paolo Damiani, Director of the Department of jazz music at Santa Cecilia, the pianist Danilo Rea, Paul McCandless, Javier Girotto, Francesco Bearzatti, Stefano Di Battista, Andy Gravish and others. In 2007 he won the prestigious international Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead for Performers and Composers award, being awarded by legendary musicians like C. Fuller and Billy Taylor.
