Ludovic Spiess (May 13, 1938 - January 29, 2006) was born in Cluj, in a family of humble people without musical education. Spiess young later discovered great music in 18 years, in a concert hall in Brasov. Start studies in Cluj, with Basil and John Corpaci Mărgineanu, then go to Bucharest, where he continued studies with Professor George Pascu. Married very early, with pianist Gerda Zach. After a brief stint in the Army Ensemble and Musical Theatre debut in Brasov, in the autumn of 1962 became a soloist of the Operetta Theatre in Bucharest (1962-1964), where Let me sing and play Lysistrata by Gherase Dendrino, Gypsy Baron by Johann Strauss and Lehar Land of Smiles. Spiess and continued her studies in Bucharest with the famous baritone Peter Stefanescu Goangă in 1964 reaching the Romanian Opera singer (1964-1988). Next to him during the great international success: Toulouse Grand Prix (1964), Grand Prix and two interpretation prizes at Rio de Janeiro (1965), First Prize at s'Hertogenbosch (1966) and a scholarship to Milan for a year. Meanwhile the Romanian Opera debut in Rigoletto, the Romanian Opera in Cluj and Toulouse in Samson and Delilah. In Milan studying with renowned teacher Antonio Narducci. Contracts are works in Stuttgart, Wiesbaden, Munich, Cologne, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires and Verona, being appreciated everywhere. At Salzburg attention great conductor Herbert von Karajan, which will perform the role of Dimitri in Boris Godunov by Moussorgsky. I
