I am an experimental guitar player living in Salt Lake City. I have probably composed nearly 100 original songs in various tunings in the last couple of years. Most inspired by the styles of Michael Hedges, Kaki King, and Leo Kottke. I have just invested in some low-end recording equipment to get some of them virtual to share. Living in Utah makes it hard to balance my passions for skiing, biking, rock-climbing and guitar. Since I try to balance all of them, I can never seem to get good enough at any of the to quit my full-time job or even gig. So I guess for the time being this is how I can share. I would to someday make music a career, but for now I will keep dreaming. I am a self taught guitar player with the exception of hundreds of questions to my father who was a great fingerpicker. I grew up listening to him play Doc Watson,John Fahey, Bob Dylan, and the Beatles. Music is what allows me to return to my center when time does not permit me to escape to the mountains. Every day I can pick up the guitar and compose a new tune based on my mood of that day. I guess it is a constant conversation that I have with the ever changing energy of life. I think Michael Hedges said it best - "I play guitar because it lets me dream out loud" I could not agree more. You can get as lost in it as fresh powder turns on a blue-bird day. I hope you enjoy what I have shared. Many of these songs have lyrics written for them; I just don't care too much for the sound of my
