Lt. Somerset hails from the north of the Netherlands, with a combination of fast melodic punk rock, and some brutal hardcore influences. The friends got stuck together in October 2004, and after a few practice sessions they decided it was time to call themselves a band. The band members all have different views and influences; Hans is the man for the melodic notes in the songs (Emo-pop-punk nerd). He is mainly influenced by bands like No use for a name and New found glory. Rikkert is the drummer of the band and is mainly into punk/rock and some hard and pounding house. Ron (guitar) is more into the old school bands like Rancid, and he still has a soft spot for Green Day. Maurice likes a lot of music, of which no one has ever heard, mostly reggae. In February of 2006 bassplayer Lennart left. Stef Heuker (ex-Monastery) helped the band out for a show. That show worked out and Stef decided to join the band. Lt. Somerset is making music with great passion and a shared love for political issues and beer. Their first demo 'Never conform' is out now.
