Lower Nature is: Dirty rock, so filthy you might want to bring soap. Your brain works hard. It manages the details of day to day life. It likely keeps you gainfully employed and socially respectable. But sometimes, your brain needs to take a back seat. Like a preacher pushing a congregation to rapturous ecstasy through sheer willpower and conviction, like a pelvis gyrating mesmerizingly unto infinity, Chicago's Lower Nature wants you to let your body take control. Rock and roll in its lowest, basest, purest form will always be unsubtle, and at its best there are few things more life-affirming. Drawing on the power of guitars, bass, drums, and the most appealingly unsavory aspects of human existence, Lower Nature only exists to make you move. The songs leap from the speakers like cheap whiskey and impending regret, like the bad decisions some part of you will always celebrate. Your brain works hard, but you are made up of more than just your brain. So, do what you need to do to get through your day--but once you're there, dust off your denim jacket, crack open a cold one, and let Lower Nature take over.
