Lowdown Shakin' Chills began their straightforward, guitar-thick hybrid of punk and rock & roll in their native of Vammalla, Finland in 1985. Consisting of P-P. "Pankku" Kotila (guitar), Jan "Jansku" Nylund (drums), Ville Syrjä (bass), Tuomo "Tuoppi" Kuoppala (vocals), and Toni Haimi (guitar) eventually relocated to Tampere after signing to Hiljaiset Levyt Records in 1991. Resulting in their 1992 debut full-length Up My Spine, tragedy would unfortunately follow Lowdown Shakin' Chills when Jan "Jansku" Nylund passed away three years later. Toni Haimi and P-P.
