Lowborn was a band formed in the year 1999 on a high school in Trebon, Czech Republic. Like many bands, they started out with Nirvana and Green Day covers before forming their own songs, most of which had a grungy, psychedelic sound. The band played around the southern Czech Republic for several years and recorded a demo CD named Will O' The Wisp in 2003. When the individual members went off to study universities, the band played less and less and eventually broke up in 2004. Together with other local bands such as Suffer, they planted the seeds of a high school rock band culture which gave birth to more than 10 young bands in the following years, and started a tradition of regular beginning-of-school and end-of-school indie rock and punkrock concerts in Trebon.
