Carlton V Burrell, otherwise known as Disko Carl, and later as Lovin' C, was a member of Rappers Rapp Group, Dark Star, and guest appeared on the well known Beverly Hills Cop Rapp by The Future M.C.'s. He changed his name in 1982 when Dark Star released their first and only EP. He would also work with M.C. Fosty as the well known duo M.C. Fosty & Lovin' C, which received local notoriety and airplay with the releases "Radio Activity Rapp," and the "When The Doves Cry Rapp." He is one of the pioneers of old school west coast hip-hop.
