Artist
Love That Kills were formed in 2002 from the ashes of UKHC bands xcanaanx and Up In Arms, with a view to creating a more melodic sound akin to bands like Glassjaw, Hopesfall and Poison The Well. The original line-up was- Darren- Guitar Joel- Bass Jason- Drums John- Vox Ryan- Guitar. Early gigs and demos suggested this was to be their sound but it became heavier and more progressive as time went on, with Daniel Duggan replacing John on vocals. They signed to In At The Deep End Records in early 2005 and went on to release the '...to cruel nails surrendered..' ep (still available widely) later that year, followed by a UK tour with Send More Paramedics. They went on to play 2 more UK tours culminating with a show supporting Parkway Drive, Remembering Never and Shai Hulud at the Camden Underworld. They didn't split up as such, but instead changed their name to Santa Karla (see 'Similar Artists) with the same line-up, opting for a heavier, down-tuned hardcore sound akin to Integrity & Zao. LTK played with- Himsa, November Coming Fire, Darkest Hour, Shai Hulud, Remembering Never, BMTH, Horse The Band, Enter Shikari, Gallows and many more...
