'Here because you're not' available at http://loucairns.bandcamp.com Born in Glasgow, Louises diverse career began as a classical musician performing at the Edinburgh Festival and throughout Germany, singing with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra. Her later progression to the worlds of pop, blues and jazz has seen her work with some of the biggest artists, record labels, studios (including Abbey Road) and promoters in the UK. The ability to command her audiences to silence, thanks to her laid- back chords, classically influenced detail, heart-felt lyrics and spine-tingling vocals, has become legendary. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, Louise moved to London and was a regular on the live music scene (Bush Hall, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, Islington Bar Academy, Barfly, The Bedford, The Cobden Club, Jazzfly). In 2008 she returned to Glasgow and her music has since been featured on BBC Scotlands drama 'River City' Jim Gellatly's radio shows (podcast and Amazing Radio) and in the Glasgow Evening Times as well as shows at King Tuts, City Halls and at Celtic Connections. Louise’s music has also been greatly received in New York City. Since 2005 Louise has been visiting the city and has played some of its most legendary venues including The Living Room, The Bitter End, Gramarcy Arts Club,Sin-e and Rockwood music hall.
