Luis Gabriel Valles (Born April 23rd, 1992 in San Juan, Puerto Rico), better known as Louie Valles, is an American rapper out of Alexandria, Virginia. Being the product of a fatherless home in a struggling community, Louie attributes many of his musical influences to his mother and other family he had around. With his environment destitute of the positive recreational outlets needed for the youth, Louie, alongside many of his friends, developed a passion for poetry and Hip Hop as means to combat boredom and express himself creatively. After relocating to South County in the 6th grade (better known as "The Highway" by its residents), Louie struggled to further his craft due to other influences. However, he found his calling once more through the guidance of Sekenia Welch, of South County Recreational Services, and his probation officer a few years later. As time moved on, Louie petitioned to open a studio within the same recreational center Sekenia Welch supervised, and with the help of staff member Hector Calazo, he succeeded. The free studio equipment provided him with a rare, and unique, opportunity to expand himself musically, while learning the logistics behind engineering and production. After becoming comfortable with himself as an artist, he linked up with Kevin Pough, also known as DJ Jo'Iyce, and started to perform at a local venue called the Weyone.
