The Cologne, Germany-based Band Lotus Feed was founded in 1995 and their cup of tea is the sound of New Wave and Post-Punk originating from the eighties… not without giving their music it’s very unique scent… Impelling basslines, atmospheric guitars carried by flanger and chorus sounds, a straightforward drumming and an emotional voice are the trademarks of this powerful and uncompromising sound that makes Lotus Feed remarkable. Most people wish to draw comparisons! Of course Lotus Feed haven’t reinvented the wheel of New Wave and so fans of bands like „The Chameleons“, „The Sound“, „Psychedelic Furs“ or „Comsat Angels“, just to name a few examples will love their music! Many line-up changes have been responsible for the band’s status of being only known local and despite of their potential had to break down several barriers… Things changed in summer of 2009 when bassist Lars Tellmann and guitarist Marten Bijkerk joined Lotus Feed. Since that time the band became finally completed with founding members Alexander Landsberg (vocals) and David Sielaff (drums); now the band was united and everything started to work automatically… During this period of time the band’s history of 15 years has been worked off and in the end a distillate arose out of their common musical preferences, attitude and the strong desire to present Lotus Feed matured!
