Lothlórien is a Celtic group taking its name from a magical forest found in Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. The three-piece group, based in Auckland, New Zealand, plays Celtic music mainly from Ireland, Scotland and England. Lothlórien plays both traditional and contemporary songs and tunes, from eerie and haunting (in the style of Clannad and Loreena McKennitt) to jaunty and lively (traditional jigs, reels and hornpipes).
