The Mexican pop quintet Los Guardianes del Amor comprised Arturo Rodriguez, Oscar Saúl Cervantes, Daniel Poplawsky, Pablo Calderón and Ernesto Gracia. In collaboration with the famed Argentinian producer Aníbal Pastor, they recorded their debut LP Cuatro Palabras in 1993, followed two years later by Camino al Cielo. Other Guardianes albums include 1996's Por Siempre y Para Siempre, 1997's Te Amo Todavia and 1998's Mas Romantico de Ayer con Mas Romanticas de Hoy. 1999 saw the release of Un Pedazo De Luna. Guardianes del Amor followed a year later. They received 5 Latin Grammy Awards nominations for Best Grupero Album. As of the end of 2014, Los Guardianes del Amor split into two separate touring and recording bands under the same name, featuring original members Óscar and Pablo and new members. Ernesto Gracia no longer tours with either group since 2017, as he created his own group called "La Casetera," but remains active as a producer. Since 2014, lead vocalist Arturo Rodríguez has been playing with his own band, Guardianes Del Amor De Arturo Rodriguez, focused on touring and collaborations. Their music can be described as romantic ballads. They're very active on social media and YouTube.
