Los Auténticos project has started December 2007 when multi instrumentalist/singer El Abuelo and bongo player Koichi met on the street of central Havana. They immediately hooked to play together then El Abuelo brought amazing maracas player/singer Reinaldo and his brother guitarist Alberto to form the new band “Los Auténticos”. Purely acoustic, soulful, passionate and nostalgic that they are called “trovadores” (traditional singer/songwriter) playing authentic Cuban melody and rhythm and singing about simple life style, love, joy and sadness. Son, guaracha, bolero, cha cha chá, merengue and guajira that the authenticity and richness of Cuban music will take you to sing along with Los Auténticos.
