Free EP download: http://loraine.bandcamp.com/ Loraine is a 5 piece instrumental post-rock band from Atlanta, GA. Their sound is characterized by long dynamic builds, flowing melodies, and slow shoegaze sways. The band formed in early 2012 and began playing shows and working on a self-recorded EP entitled "An Autumn Evening" to be released November 2012. Loraine sites their biggest influences, aside from the most obvious Explosions in the Sky, as Pinback, Electric President, Modest Mouse, and Sigur Rós. Their music is best served with a side of Tribe Called Quest and Dr. Dre, for ill measure. All of the members of Loraine were part of the Atlanta hardcore scene prior to joining Loraine, and obvious traces of this are left in their music. Loraine is currently unsigned.
