According to Discogs, Longsy D's real name is Andrew Alexander Long. From Squidoo : A sub-genre of house music, skacid is the blending of Jamaican ska with acid house (house music usually based on the TB-303 and TR-909). It is a close relative and predecessor of Jungle. The most famous artist is Longsy D who was popular in the late 80's and early 90's and likely coined the term "skacid."
