Loins is a high-energy noise rock and post-punk trio based in Helsinki, Finland. Often described as a supergroup of the Finnish underground scene, the band was formed from the former rhythm section of the group Fun and the remains of Baxter Stockman. Their sound is characterized by a minimal yet driving approach to noise rock, blending angular guitar work with heavy, rhythmic grooves. Critics frequently compare their intensity and style to legendary acts like The Jesus Lizard, Gang of Four, and NoMeansNo. After making their debut with a self-titled EP in 2023, the band released their first full-length album, Afterglow, on April 11, 2025. The album was a collaborative international release involving labels such as If Society (Finland), Reptilian Records (United States), and Permafrost (France). The original lineup: Markus Leminen - guitars, vocals; Vesa Putkinen - bass; Riku Korhonen - drums. http://www.facebook.com/loinsband User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
