Artist
Baruchyah Johnson, aka Logic the DA (Devil's Advocate), is a rapper from Brooklyn, NY born on September 17, 1979. His style ranges from poetic to punchline heavy rhymes and everything in between. Inspiration for his songs and lyrics come from introspection, observation, or whatever he just thought sounded cool at the moment. "Not everything has to be deep". Only dabbling in writing rhymes here and there, Logic started late in actually recording music. He caught his stride after many talented artists and producers on dopetracks.com reached out to him for collaborations. Knowing people were listening at all inspired him to take his craft more serious. Logic's main desire is to be heard and have other talented artists heard as well. Currently he's working on his first album, Bohemian Rap City, with two producers he met on dopetracks, JL Proof and Rocifi. Always a fan first, Logic's favorite artists and influences include Nas, Eminem, Canibus, MF Doom, El-P, and Common as well as many other Hip-Hop artists past, present, well known, and not so well known. Various artists from genres outside of rap also helped to shape him as a fan and artist. He's constantly learning and trying to get better, so he sees himself as a student with class always in session.
