Loe Shimmy (born Shamar Williams Cox) is an American rapper from Pompano Beach, Florida, known for his laid-back delivery and distinctive nasal vocal style. He began releasing music on SoundCloud in 2020, dropping the EPs Zombie Land and World War Z that year. His debut album Zuper PowerZ arrived in 2021, followed by Z End in 2022. After a two-year hiatus following the death of his brother, Cox returned to music, appearing on Kodak Black’s 2023 album Pistolz & Pearlz. In March 2024, he released Zombieland 2, which charted on the Billboard Heatseekers, featuring the breakout single “For Me,” which debuted at No. 78 on the Billboard Hot 100. He released the deluxe Zombieland 2.6 later that year and supported tours by Sexyy Redd, Rob49, and Skilla Baby. In late 2024, he released The Z Files and Nardy World, the latter dedicated to his late brother and featuring a remix of “For Me” with Brent Faiyaz. In 2025, Loe Shimmy opened for Lil Baby, performed at Rolling Loud California, was named a 2025 XXL Freshman, and released Rockstar Junkie on July 18, 2025.
