Artist
Lodi was a four piece San Francisco rock band founded in 1998 by frontmen Charles Hubbard (aka Henry Moon) and David Garcia (David Climaco), who shared songwriting duties. The band broke up in 2002, having released an ep (The Belinda ep) and a full length album (End of Land Sadness). Both albums were engineered by Aaron Prelwitz at Toast Studios in San Francisco. Jason Sbordone played drums on most recordings, with Dennis Bostok (Bar 7, Tesla, Flame) playing on later recordings. Bass was played by Oakland punk rocker Robert Wong. Influences include Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Lodi" is both a town in Northern California and a song by CCR - and other gritty rock acts such as the Stones, Morphine, Tom Waits, and narrative-based songwriters such as Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan.
