Locale A.M. had been a band for over 5 years before they called it quits in December of 2003. Early Locale A.M. consisted of Matt Lombardi (MC), Eric Frederic (Vocals, guitar), Rene Carranza (turntables, percussion), David Capstick (drums), and Isa Baca (bass). Matt later left the band and Locale soon added keyboards to their sound as well as new lead guitarist, Steve Yoshii. As soon as The Characters EP came out, Locale A.M. began taking the "Pimprock" sound (Groove Heroes, Before You Knew Me, The Sounds of Spring) that the earlier fans had so been accustomed to out of their set and began writing and playing the more melodic tunes that most people are more familiar with (The Characters EP, Breaking the Fourth Wall, + songs such as Dead Man Dyin', etc.). With the turntables (and the rapping) gone, Locale proceeded to break through their mold once again (as they have managed to do with every album they put out). After the break up of Locale A.M., singer Eric Frederic did not stop writing music. He jammed with Rene and former Tragedy Andy bassist, Matt Fazzi, for a while and soon added former Tragedy Andy drummer, Omar Cuellar, to the group now known as Facing New York. With the addition of Brandon Canchola, the lineup was set: Eric (vocals, guitar), Rene (keys), Omar (drums), Matt (lead guitar), and Brandon (bass). Facing New York is an amazing band and very talented, so check them out. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional t
