The first true Welsh Punk Rock Band. Featured Dafydd Rhys on vocals Julian Lewis on drums Peter Williams on Bass Gary Beard and Hywel Peckham sharing the guitar duties. NCB lyrics were written by Gary Melville the manager of the band and the music was put togther by the band in the student halls of residence in Swansea University where Gary was studying sometime in 1977. This was a very thirsty band and most gigs were played with a lot of alcohol intake which as you can imagine caused just one or two problems. Numerous tv appearances. Only one with the original line up though. The other sessions were completed by a different line up where Gary and Julian had left and were replaced by Huw Davies guitar and Richard Zammit drums. This band had some outrageous stage antics with a tailors dummy which were sidelined when it was realised that venues just werent going to have it. John Peel pioneered the record NCB on his show and it was chosen as single of the week in the Melody Maker during 1977. If anyone had had the brain to take it a little more seriously then there would have been a better outcome, As it was Gary left the original line up due to disagreements over noise levels. Julian left as the image of a punk drummer just wasn't doing it for him. Gary Melville the manager called it a day because he had new projects to look at and Ihink he had had a pantsfull of the behaviour overall.
