Liza Bonsan (born Lizaveta Hanukkah Bonsan) is a Polish-Russian artist known for her provocative and controversial musical themes, often exploring topics such as prostitution, sexuality, human identity, and the treatment of minors. Her Polish heritage traces back to her grandmother, a figure associated with the Wołomin mafia, with whom Bonsan spent her early years near the eastern border of Warsaw. Due to undisclosed circumstances, Bonsan was forced to leave Poland and relocated to Ibiza, where she spent most of her life. Her tumultuous personal history has garnered public attention and includes alleged involvement in managing brothels in the Russian Federation, drug trafficking in Brazil, and performing as a stripper in several internationally renowned nightclubs. Together with her sister, Donna Vegas, Bonsan sought to represent Poland in the 68th Eurovision Song Contest in Sweden with their global hit “STAR!”.
