Artist
Sometimes a little sassy, sometimes a little sad, Liz Cook’s songs are consistently bright and fresh— blending an acoustic folk heart with an indie edge, her style and sound have been compared to Aimee Mann, K.D. Lang and even the Indigo Girls; but Liz’s songcraft is truly hers alone. Wise beyond her 20 years, Liz brings a mature sensibility to her melodies and delivers her songs with a deeply personal, powerfully resonant voice. With thoughtful lyrics infused with hope and harmony, Liz’s songs are vivid, moving, and often ecstatic celebrations of life. Liz is trained in both classical and contemporary acoustic guitar as well as being a long-time student of Jeannie Deva Voice Studios. She is a regular in the Boston café and club circuit, performing at venues such as Club Passim and Johnny D’s. Liz resides in Northampton, MA, where she is a student at Smith College and plays local venues.
