'If a Harp had a voice it would sound like Liz Madden' was how writer Gregg Senko recently described international recording artist, singer, songwriter and performer, Liz Madden. A performer with great sensitivity, Liz brings light and dark to every aspect of both her singing and songwriting and leaves a lasting impression with her deep emotion and energy. Classically trained but from a traditional background, Liz has been a recording artist for the past ten years culminating in the production of three solo albums, 'My Irish Home', 'Christmas Celebration' and 'Going Home'. Liz also recorded three original albums under the name, Rua. Liz's performances worldwide include headlining at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Catskills Irish Weekends in New York, the Lisdoonvarna Festival, World Music Festival and the 7th International Folk & Art Festival in China. Recent performances include the International Conference for Nobel Peace Laureates, Feile Bride, 2nd Annual Heritage Festival AR and International Festival UA. Liz also performed with Irish fiddler Niamh Fahy (Riverdance) at the Seamus Ennis Centre in Ireland for a night of Irish Roots music. Liz's theatre work includes the Drawing Room Opera Company along with various roles in musical theatre. Most recently Liz played a lead in the new production of Stephen Sondheim's 'Side by Side' in Ireland along with a lead in the musical cabaret 'W(h)ine Women & Song' in the US.
