Not to be confused with the thrash metal band Living Sacrifice. --==-- Livin' Sacrifice was one of the earliest all girl punk bands in Sweden, active from 1978 through 1982. The band started in a basement in Spånga in 1978. Guitarist Flavia Canel and drummer Martina Axén had been together in many acts starting with punk band Livin' Sacrifice. They soon got a reputation for being a good live band and was quickly signed to Rosa Honung. As this act progressed the sound developed into more of a hard rock vein. In 1981 they released their high quality EP, 'San'. The song 'Fuck Off' was a “hit” despite being the lamest track on the E.P. and when they did a reunion show in the mid 90’s they were greeted by a bunch of skinheads running towards them while screaming FUCK OFF, just to show them how much they loved that song. Their latest gig was in 1995. Livin' Sacrifice evolved into Aphrodite with Axén, Canel joining vocalist Malin Ekholm, guitarist Maria "Mia" Landberg, and bassist Marianne Hall.
