Is it a solo moniker or a band name? A little bit of both, perhaps. One thing for sure: the main man behind the name Litzberg is Dutch musician, singer and songwriter, Mathijs Peeters. His début album, In_My_Head (2019) is "a collection of spry guitar pop songs that beautifully maintain balance between traditional melody and zealous experimentation." Litzberg's music has been compared to that of Neil Young, The War On Drugs, Strand of Oaks, Dream Syndicate, The Posies, Bettie Serveert, Daryll-Ann, Television, Low, Yo La Tengo and Sparklehorse, to name but a few.
