Little Violet are back. The retro-styled chanteuse and band, who stormed the vintage pop scene back in 2012, return with a string of new singles and an EP ‘Silent Movie’ released with global electro swing pioneers, the UK record label Freshly Squeezed. Jazzy vocals, dance beats, sophisticated lyrics and classic song writing combine to lift the quality bar high. Holding up to comparisons with the likes of Caro Emerald, Swingrowers, Swing Republic, Annella and Caravan Palace, the female-fronted project combines similar influences mixing 20s and 30s swing with modern dance music. Previously released under Cuckoo Records (former Zenomania songwriters) songs include ‘Shut Up’ and ‘Don’t Stop’ which clocked up well over a million plays on YouTube (to date).
