Little City Fires first got together in May 2007, with original members Dave Benton, Justin Leider, Ben Smith, and Dan Sohval. Their first real rehearsal consisted of random combustions and the sounds discovery. A little later, Andrew Wade joined as official drummer, and Ben began to sing lead vocals. The summer led to more shows, songwriting, and recording, eventually resulting in the completion of their first cd release. The ep was recorded at Yumyum Studios in September of 2008, and It was released in November at a show in Room 310 of Ridgewood High School. The artwork was designed by Colin Alexander. Alkis Meimaris joined the band in November of 2008, and now plays guitar and bass. You can often find Little City Fires playing at venues, backyards and basements in and around the tri-state area, and copies of their cds are always available at their shows.
