Artist
Formed in 1956 and originally called The Consuls after a British sedan, they soon added the moniker "Little Caesar". Early members included Robbie Robertson (The Band) and Gene MacLellan (writer of Snowbird for Anne Murray). The group recorded several Canadian hits including Runaway (1958), followed by three #1 hits "If" (1963), "My Girl Sloopy" (1965) , "You Really Got A Hold On Me" (1965) and "Laugh Too Much" (Top Ten in 1966.) They performed on shows with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Sonny & Cher, Dave Clark Five, & The Beach Boys to name but a few. In 1976 they recorded "Hang On Sloopy" and toured across Canada with The Bay City Rollers. In 1993 the band recorded the album "Since 1956" and toured Southern Ontario including a concert date at Canada's Wonderland with The Beach Boys. Today, Little Caesar is still performing throughout Southern Ontario for your listening and dancing pleasure. The key to the band's success is that they want to make sure that you are having as much fun as they are. This is just good old rock and roll music played by the same musicians that recorded it back in the 50's & 60's.
