Lites & Cokes is an electronic project from Miskolc, Hungary. Their roots goes back to 2006, when Stef started learning to compose electronic music. Big step to the future, we’re in 2009, when they started an indie/punk band along with Csegi, but this co-production stopped after a few common songs. The two original member started making new noises as a duo now and this is the moment we can talk about the birth of Lites & Cokes. This name could mean diet coke or lights with cocaine, too. This bipolarity is also specific to their sounds. Harsh, rave-tastic noise diluted with catchy pop-sound performed as a live act with guitar and distorted beats. The two declared big inspiration of the duo is Sleigh Bells and Crystal Castles, but they also listen a pile of different music, from the meanest, inadmissible experimental to post-rock and even indie pop.
