Lipless Lincoln and the Sinners were an experimental rock band founded in 2006 in Prague by Jan Škrob (lead vocal, lyrics), Jakub Ort (guitar) and Jan Ort (bass, keyboards). The personnel got settled when Šimon Pokorný (saxophone) and Václav Španihel (drums) joined the band in 2007. In their eclectic music, Lipless Lincoln and the Sinners combine furious punk energy with avant-garde ideas, decadent poetry with weird theatricality, old fashioned rock with whatever comes in their minds, mock turtle soup with lunar asparagus. After gradually ceasing to be active, the group disbanded in August 2013. Musical activities of Lipless' members include Jízda na slonovi (with Jan Ort as a composer and keyboardist & Jan Škrob writing most lyrics -- with Markéta Profeldová as a lead vocalist), and Jako v zrcadle (post-industrial dark folk solo project of Jan Škrob).
