Artist
The story of Lions of the Vine starts with Matt Sevrens, a singer-songwriter who has a sweet tooth for pop. If you add in a last-minute talent show, a bleeding finger, and rainy Picnic Day, then you’ll find yourself with Lions of The Vine – a five-person group with Matt Sevrens as the singer-songwriter, Jason Abrams on the piano, Geoffrey Mak as the cellist, Alex Flatbush as the bass guitarist, and Gary Ho on the electric guitar. Their music emulates many different genres such as 40s Jazz, Bossa Nova, Classic Rock, Indie Pop, Alternative Christian Contemporary, and Top 40 Pop. Members of LOTV come from bands such as The Sweet Hurt, The Robats and Lets Go Sailing. They've also performed with The Gingersnaps, Cable Car Stars, and Dahlak from Zion-I. The sound of LOTV be compared to artists like Ferraby Lionheart, Feist, Ben Folds Five, and The Fray.
