about

Line of Departure come from a sturdy lineage of Adelaide, Australia rock acts such as The Hot Lies and Mere Theory and bring together a wide range of rock and post-hardcore influences from previous projects 99 Reasons Why,Threechainbreak and others. They are an explosive four-piece rock act that are impossible to ignore, bringing a trademark sound that continues to attract new fans and opportunities to share the stage with notable acts such as Bodyjar, After The Fall, Gyroscope,Kisschasy,The Hot Lies,Blueline Medic, Trail Kennedy, Mere Theory, Crowned Kings (Can), Your Black Star (USA), Thinktank and Horsell Common. Their debut EP ‘Ixora’ released on Pee Records is a product of theircontinued hard work and sheer dedication over the past 18 months, busily writing, recording and playing numerous live shows to finally produce a 5 track EP full of engaging and catchy melodic rock songs with a little bit of angst in all the right places. Recorded in part at the renowned Soundhouse Studios with producer Darren Thompson (Blueline Medic, Thinktank) ‘Ixora’ is the beginning of something big for the up incomers within a thriving genre of Australian bands with an “infectious take on melodic punk rock.
