Linda Kendrick was born in 1951, Dagenham, U.K. She released her first single, It's The Little Things, in 1966. She was cast as Jeannie in the West End production of, Hair (1968) which ran for 1,997 performances. Following her appearance in Hair she undertook television work in Europe, appeared on U.K. television including Z Cars, was a regular guest singer on Mike and Bernie's Scene (1970) and toured the U.S. with Elton John and The Kinks. She released records in the sixties and seventies including, Faith Hope and Charity, Grey Sunny Day, Sympathy For The Devil and I Will See You There. In 1975, she released the Elton John and Bernie Taupin penned, House Of Cards. Her husband died at age 25 and within 12 months her son also passed away. She later remarried and moved to Cologne, Germany and had another son. She returned to the U.K. and lived in South London where she subsequently died of pneumonia in November 2010.
