This is Tom McNabb, the former lead singer of the band "The Lime Frost Band". It's nice to see that we have 300+ listeners some 45+ years after. I left the band in 1968 and joined the Navy. We only made the one '45'. It was really a 'demo' record sponsored by WTAC AM Radio , Flint Michigan. We had several years together as the "Lime Frost Band" and really had a great following of loyal fans all over the state. We played gigs with Bob Seger, Terry Knight and The Pack ( before they became Grand Funk RR) The Nazz, and many other groups that went on to bigger and better fame. Still, we had a blast playing the venues and the real joy was the fun our fans had when we played. We were rated in the top twenty of up and coming "garage bands" in Michigan and won a "battle of the bands" beating out over 300 other garage bands which landed us a TV appearance on "Swinging Time with Robin Symour" broadcast on CKLW TV 9 out of Windsor Ont.. I still have the check...$5.63 after taxes! HA! And just so you know , the rate for air play was $ .01 per play on the radio. Because of the implied drug reference in the names of our recorded songs we were only played on FM stations known as "underground" stations back then. I was blown away to find our music being played on a station in New York a couple of years ago so I called and did an interview live wit the DJ Tony Coulter ( now Tony is on satellite radio and is known as "Tony 'MAD-DOG' Coulter". If you have a copy (rare) of our original recording
