Originally just a young girl and her guitar, Lilly Rouge formed as a full band in early 2007 playing her first gig at the Beenleigh Tavern at the tender age of 16, under the watchful eye of her parental unit. Performing through high school with different members of her class and concentrating on building a body of original work, Lilly was accepted into the Queensland Conservatorium of Music's "Bachelor of Popular Music" program where she met guitarist and successful producer James Dean. Joined by new additions John Creek and Kned Gulliford, the crew are currently in the process of recording their second E.P. due out early 2012. The band are heavily influenced by bands such as: Monster Magnet, Evanescence, Buckcherry, Marilyn Manson and A.F.I, giving them a different flavour to most other music on the current Australian scene. When not perilously traversing the Brisbane and Gold Coast live music scenes the band can be found in the dark corners of Middle Earth jamming on new songs, drinking Jack Daniels and generally causing musical ruckus for all in the general area.
