Sonic is a true young phenom. Don't let the age fool you. At 19 years young his music has been judged, critiqued and acclaimed by the likes of Amadeus (Bad Boy), Troy Oliver (Sony Music/Jive/Epic), J-Hatch (iStandardProducers.com), FREAK (of "Amusement Park" fame), Blackground Recording artist JoJo, Former Ruff Ryders Recording Artist Jin, J Records producer Gerald Isaac & many other notable musicians. Sonic, known by friends as Wale, grew up in a home musically influenced. His dad was a classic disco, jazz, and funk music connoisseur who brought Sonic up listening to music. Because of his exposure at a young age, it was simple for him to put instrumentals together when he was 11 years old. When the time came, Sonic found his hobby of rhyming after winning a poetry contest in the 7th grade at his school. He used his own beats and verses to catch the attention of Hot 93.7's radio personality, K-Dub. This also put him in contact with other prominent CT artists such as Milo Sheff, Notch, and Theory-Man. Sonic, is an rapper, composer, and songwriter. He produces primarily hip-hop music, but is well known for his R&B instrumentals. Recently he has produced many stars from the East Coast as well as mainstream stars from Florida like Nycole Valentina who performed "Just Your Touch" on MTV (a song Sonic co-produced). Also he has done solo work as a rapper; his debut single "Dance All Night'" was released in early 2007 and he has released 2 mixtapes "In Position" and "The Playlist"
