LIKE A KID is a Japanese easycore/loud rock band formed on October 30, 2020, in Tokyo. The band’s current lineup consists of Kento on vocals, Hikaru on guitar, Ruka on drums, and Takuto Kimura on guitar, who joined in 2021. Originally, Kengo played bass for the group, but after his departure in 2022, Ban took over as bassist. Their sound is a blend with influenses from emo, easycore, post-hardcore, loud rock, pop punk, and alternative rock. The band released their debut EP, Hallelujah, on March 26, 2021, followed by their second EP, Heaven or Hell, on May 1, 2022. They released their first full-length album, POV, on October 29, 2023. Since its formation, LIKE A KID has received attention for its distinct approach to genre-blending, with tracks such as "What We Have" and "All Alone" featured on Apple Music's curated playlist, The Great Eastern Fakekill. Their live performances include supporting roles for international acts organized by independent label Ice Grill$. In 2023, they supported American band Broadside and For the Win during their Japan tour, and in 2024, LIKE A KID performed as the supporting act for Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! and In Her Own Words.
