about

Lights in a Fat City is an ethno ambient group formed in London, UK in 1985. They evolved as a collaboration between Stephen Kent (didgeridoo, percussion), Eddy Sayer (percussion, hybrid harp) and Simon Tassano (electronics). In 1987 they released the landmark recording "Somewhere", the first international album focused on the sound of the didgeridoo. In 1991 Simon Tassano left and Kenneth Newby joined the group; with the new formation they released "Sound Column" (1993) and "Memory Ground" (1999).
