Light and Day was founded in the beginning of 2008 in Moscow as a solo project of Ivan Malezhik (Vocal, Guitar). Inspired by Radiohead, Jeff Buckley and Bob Dylan, Ivan started to write his own songs penetrated with great lyrical and self-irony motives, which are so rare in modern bands. In October 2008 Ivan began to play with Lesha Kovalev (Drums). As a duo the band haven’t lost its charm and sincerity. Songs became more rough and melodically. An appearance of Dmitriy Agafonov (Keyboard) in the first days of 2009 led to the new sound, which made the songs finally completed. Band separated in summer of 2009 after the weeks of complicated relations between the musicians.
