Life As A Ghost was a progressive post-hardcore/metalcore band from Long Island/Ronkonkoma, New York, United States. Starting out in October 2009, Life As A Ghost was created by former Bela Kiss vocalist Nick Prainito. Nick enlisted members Greg DelGenio (drums) and Nick Viscovich (guitar) to establish the band's foundation, shortly after adding Mike Compitello (guitar) and Dean Chutis (bass). Gears were set in motion. Life As A Ghost made a name for themselves for being a hard-working, pull-no-punches band, built on beautifully chaotic melody, relentless rhythm, and a punishing live show. Anticipation has been building for their self-produced debut-album, Drifter (Eulogy Recordings). Recorded with renowned engineer, Eliot Geller (Through The Eyes of The Dead, Moving Mountains) and mastered by Mike Kalaijian (Moving Mountains, Bedlight For Blue Eyes), Drifter features the heaviness and melody that Life As A Ghost has become well known for. Upon adding members Evan Cohen (bass), Jerry DeLorenzo (guitar), and Ray Altamura (drums) the band has increased their forward momentum, shooting a self-produced music video for the album's title track. With plans to extensively tour in support for the release of Drifter, Life As A Ghost prepares to bring their frenetic live act across the country. They later released an EP called Perception in 2013. The guys played their farewell show in early 2014, but are still (as of 2022) posting stuff on their Facebook page. Members: Nick Prainito -
