LIFE'S AQUATIC Formed in 2015 amidst the mists of Santo André, in the ABC region of São Paulo, this instrumental band aims to create its own sonic aesthetic. Influenced by soul, jazz, indie, and trip-hop, the group navigates the challenge of not drowning in today’s landscape of information overload. In this process of adaptation and survival, their harmonic and melodic structure "develops gills" to breathe even while submerged in the flood of cultural industry releases and the constant shifts in technology and formats. Timeline & Releases: 2017: Released the EP Provos, their first original work. 2019: Released their first studio album, Neon Cortex, supported by a dozen shows across the São Paulo metropolitan area and two music videos. Pandemic Era: After a hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic—releasing only the live jam EP Clodovid—the band returned to the stage in 2022. 2024: Released their second album, Apneia (July 2024), featuring guest appearances by Mariana Oliveira, Rodrigo Coelho, Bio Bonatto, and Cauê Vieira Pinto on horns, and Murilo Saad on percussion. Released under the Sismo Recs label, the album was recorded at Estúdio Eiffel, mixed and mastered by Marco Antonio Esteves, with cover art and promotion by Vitor Zanirato. Line-up: Caio Felliputti (drums), Fernando Lopes (bass), Marco Antonio Esteves (keys), Vitor Zanirato (guitar), and as of 2024, Rodrigo Coelho (trumpet) joined as a permanent member.
