Artist
Lidia Ganeva is a Bulgarian singer, composer, and songwriter, born on February 2, 2006, in Plovdiv. Raised in an artistic family—her mother, Nevyana Ganeva, is a folk singer with the “Trakia” ensemble and “The Mystery of the Bulgarian Voices,” and her father, Ivo Ganev, is a dancer and choreographer—Lidia showed musical talent early on, winning an award as the youngest participant in a singing competition at four and a half. Guided by vocal coach Rumi Ivanova, she represented Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision in Malta with the song “Magical Day,” placing ninth after winning a national selection against over 70 children. In 2021, she became a finalist in the eighth season of The Voice of Bulgaria, mentored by DARA, and released her first original songs in English, “After The Movie” and “What Could’ve Been,” followed by her first Bulgarian song, “From the Very Beginning,” in 2022, in collaboration with Trombobby, whom she met on The Voice. Having lived in Finland for two years, Lidia drew inspiration from its nature and tranquility despite language and climate challenges, maintaining a strong connection to the Bulgarian language, which she thinks and dreams in, and aiming to promote quality Bulgarian music.
